The power and money behind oil. coal and nuclear has no match in solar and wind.<br /><br />As pv panel prices have plummeted, so will inverter prices and BOS (balance of system) in the future. Grid parity for solar is not far off. Short term feed-in tariffs would allow the solar industry the ability to get to grid parity within a few years. No one wold be seriously hurt by a penny a KWH tariff. <br /><br />We can get there, we WILL get there ! <br /><br />I am now on solar and wind the last 3 years for 75% of my energy usage for December - March.
